Directions for Drivers

From CARLISLE passing Gretna & Annan

1. From the M74 Junction 22 take the A75 sign posted to Stranraer. When you eventually come to the outskirts of Dumfries you will pass a Little Chef and a Shell petrol station on your left as you come to the first roundabout.

2. Turn RIGHT at this roundabout along the by-pass (A75).

3. Go STRAIGHT ON (A75)at the next roundabout.

4. Turn LEFT on to the A701 at the next roundabout in to Dumfries.

5. Follow the road past the golf course on your right and Ballantynes Health Club on your left, and bear RIGHT at the mini-roundabout after about half a mile.

6. Follow that road for approximately another half mile when you will come to traffic lights

7. Turn left at these lights (into Lovers Walk) and in about 300 yards (before the rail station) turn left into a small lane marked Loreburn Park. Park immediately on the RH side ignoring the private parking signs. No 43 is on your left on the corner of the lane and Lovers Walk.

From EDINBURGH or GLASGOW passing BEATTOCK

1. From the M74 at Junction 15 take the A701 sign posted for Dumfries.

2. Continue on this road until you come to the outskirts of the town (about 18-20 miles). Go straight on for about a mile passing a large factory (Gates Rubber Company) on your left, straight through a mini-roundabout by the Esso station until you come to a large roundabout at the bypass (A75).

3. At that roundabout go STRAIGHT ON in towards Dumfries town centre.

4. Follow the road past the golf course on your right and Ballantynes Health Club on your left, and bear RIGHT (more or less straight on) at the mini-roundabout after about half a mile.

5. Follow that road for approximately another half mile when you will come to traffic lights
